Behavior Plan not working even though it's a great plan? If so, consider this session as we discuss components of why and how a behavior plan can be more effective including considering the purpose behind having a behavior plan; the responsibilities of those involved at the various levels of development and implementation; and addressing various myths related to behavior plans. The intended audience is for those who would like to understand the theory behind and importance of implementing a behavior plan (i.e. "Why do I need to do this") in order to positively impact a student's behavior as well as those who are frustrated that a behavior plan may not be working.
Note: this session does NOT explicitly discuss the 'how to' in creating a behavior plan (e.g. determining antecedents and consequences, determining the functon, etc), but rather the considerations to make implementing a behavior plan more effective and is based on the contemporary use and implementation of behavior plans in Waialua Complex.
